“Meet the Change-Makers: Discover Who We Are at the Willi Johnson Foundation”

Welcome to the Willi Johnson Foundation (WJF), a beacon of hope and empowerment since 2006. We are a non-profit, non-religious, non-political, and non-racial organization dedicated to fostering economic and socio-cultural empowerment across diverse communities. Our mission extends to women, men, youth, children, and people with disabilities, ensuring no one is left behind in our journey toward a brighter, more inclusive future.

Who We Are

At the heart of the Willi Johnson Foundation lies a voluntary spirit driven by compassion and a commitment to change. Established and registered in May 2006 with the Ministry of Women Affairs in Edo State and subsequently with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in Abuja in July 2007, WJF is built on a foundation of trust and integrity. Our organization is governed by a dedicated Board of Trustees, comprising five esteemed members who guide our mission and vision.

Our Values

  • Respect for Human Dignity: We believe in the inherent worth of every individual, and our actions are driven by a commitment to uphold and honor that dignity.
  • Transparency and Accountability: We operate with complete openness, ensuring that our actions and decisions are transparent, and we hold ourselves accountable to our stakeholders and the communities we serve.
  • Gender Equity: We champion equality and strive to create a world where gender does not determine one’s opportunities or rights.
  • Openness: We embrace diversity and inclusivity, welcoming new ideas and perspectives to foster a dynamic and adaptable approach to our mission.
  • Respect for Rules of Engagement: We adhere to ethical practices and principles, ensuring that our engagement with communities and partners is conducted with integrity and respect.

Our Goal

Our ultimate goal is to empower and enlighten rural women, men, youth, and children through comprehensive and sustainable programs. By fostering economic and social growth, we aim to create self-reliant communities that can thrive independently.

Our Vision

A world where women, men, youth, children, and People Living with Disabilities attain optimum reproductive health, economic, and socio-cultural empowerment.

Our Mission

Empowering rural women, men, youth, and children, including people with disabilities, by providing access to microcredits, information, education, and services on reproductive health rights and access to skill acquisition.
