WJF Receives Mentoring and Coaching Support From the British Council
The Agents for Citizen-driven Transformation for (ACT) Programme was designed by the European Union (EU) as its response strategy to the need to invest in and engage more with civil society organizations (CSOs) in Nigeria. ACT is funded by the EU and is implemented by the British Council in Nigeria. The Programme has the aspiration of strengthening the capacity of 200 CSOs across 10 states to become credible and more effective in performing their role as agents of sustainable development in Nigeria. WJF is one of the CSOs that the EU-ACT Programme has been working with in Edo state with the objective of strengthening the organization’s internal system, external relations, and programme capabilities. Under our current relationship which started in March 2021, WJF has been trained in eight capacity development areas. More importantly, WJF is also presently undergoing an intensive coaching/mentoring on Organisation Strategy, NGO Policies and External Relations.
The first day (August 12, 2021) of the coaching/mentoring program is indeed an eye opener to WJF team. Thanks to the EU-ACT Programme!
